About Keefer Consulting
I started Keefer Consulting with a desire to serve clients more effectively. While experience as manager
for a Fortune 500 company and a Big Four professional services firm helped shape my capabilities and vision,
becoming an independent consultant has freed me to pursue more direct, honest relationships with clients I admire.
I have defined business requirements, designed fit-for-purpose solutions, and led R&D and commercial IT
projects for companies including Merck, Pfizer, and GSK. I managed development of the TMF Reference Model
Exchange Mechanism Standard, Version 1 and continue to serve that initiative as volunteer for the Clinical
Data Interchange Standards Consortium (CDISC).
I help biopharma research companies transform clinical operations while incorporating machine learning and a
focus on quality by design into their organizations. I envision a world in which clinical operations can
share information seamlessly with regulators, service providers, and partners through common standards and
processes. The ultimate goal is to achieve positive outcomes for patients quickly and cost-effectively.
Earning an MBA from Temple University helped launch my information technology career decades ago. More
recently, I earned a Certificate in Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Business from the University of the
Sciences (now part of Saint Joseph's University).
Ethical principles are foundational to my ability to help clients reach their goals. My association with the
Project Management Institute (PMI) and Project Management Professional certification (PMP) require me to observe the
PMI Code of Ethics.
